Welcome to the Learning-Centered Course Design Certificate
This comprehensive course is based on research-based strategies to help you design learning-centered courses to provide the best learning experience for your students.
The course is designed as a linear experience. To advance in the course, you will need to complete and upload all required assignments and quizzes. All assignments will be authentic and specific to you. For example, when you are asked to reflect on your learning, these reflections will be useful for other purposes, such as developing your teaching philosophy statement. Therefore, you will not want to use AI to complete any assignments. For each assignment uploaded, you will receive feedback from Dr. Cynthia Korpan, typically within a week. Once an assignment is uploaded, you can proceed to the next lesson or module. If the assignment is deemed unsatisfactory, Dr. Korpan will ask you to revise and resubmit, which will need to be done before you can receive your certificate and letter.
Each quiz is automatically graded and you are required to achieve 100% on the quiz before you can move onto the next lesson or module. You can take the quiz as many times as you need to achieve the 100%.
Upon completion of this certificate, you will have a completely designed learning-centered course, a certificate, and a letter from Dr. Korpan explaining the competencies you acquired during the certificate.
